Hutongs are neighborhoods in the alleys of Beijing that form the underlying skeleton of China's capital city. They date back approximately five centuries, but they are rapidly disappearing as new construction displaces thousands of hutong residents.
These are images selected from those taken across forty different countries in six continents. Many of these photos were taken in the southeast Asian countries of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
These images transport the viewer to summer days in Havana. They offer a sense of what a small Caribbean island might be like in the summer months and capture the spirit of the people who might live there.
